Unlocking the “Write” Path: How Reading and Writing Work Together for Students
Discover the transformative insights in our latest blog, where we confront the prevalent challenge of students grappling with communicating their ideas through writing. Uncover the need for prioritizing writing preparedness alongside reading instruction, and how it can benefit student literacy. Equip your educators with powerful strategies to read like a writer to unleash students' potential in crafting polished compositions and seizing ownership of their writing journey.
Last month, students in grades 3-5 from partner schools wrote responses to various standards-aligned prompts featuring prominent people in Black history for our Black History Month Student Writing Contest. Students read journal entries, historical passages, and poems as they synthesized text to create their entries in ANet’s Quiz Tool. Thank you to all who participated in this year’s contest!

WEBINAR: Spring Into Success: Closing Strong for A Successful Upcoming School Year
Experience a reflection protocol focused on your educational communities and the year-to-date, as well as what’s being asked of you as you look ahead to the next school year. What moves did you make that moved the needle for students? What opportunities do you have to adjust for next year’s priorities? Where will you need to advocate for more support as you set priorities for next year?
After reflecting, we’ll hear from school and system leaders from across the country as they discuss practical approaches to prioritizing end-of-year tasks, including assessments and stakeholder engagement, as well as how they’re starting to think opportunistically about the upcoming school year for their students and educators.
Join us on Tuesday, April 23, to reflect, prioritize, and accelerate your efforts in support of closing out this year and setting up next year.
We created myANet to empower educators to make instructional changes grounded in equity and equip teachers with a tool that works throughout the teaching and learning cycle. The myANet platform provides a seamless experience for teachers to create checks for understanding such as quizzes and assessments, analyze student performance and provide individualized learning experiences.
